Lime Plaster Restoration & Application Training

AVAILABLE DATES: Winter 2026/2027

This hands-on training focuses on traditional lime plaster systems used in historic interiors
and façades. Participants will learn how to assess existing plaster, select compatible
materials, and apply repair and finish coats that respect historic fabric while ensuring long-
term durability.

You will learn:

• Key differences between lime plaster, gypsum plaster, and cement-based systems
• Evaluating historic plaster conditions and common failure mechanisms
• Substrate preparation for plaster repair and reapplication
• Mixing and applying base and finish coats
• Repairing cracks, delamination, and localized losses
• Curing practices and conditions critical to lime plaster performance
